Features in detail

Everything PickleDeck does, for real.

Seventeen major areas, each documented in detail. There are no features hidden behind a premium tier: everything listed here is included.

01 · Entries and payments

Collect payments without lifting a finger

Players enter and pay on their own through your dedicated link. You receive the funds through HelloAsso or straight into your account (Stripe Connect), with no extra bookkeeping.

HelloAsso and Stripe Connect: funds go straight to the club or association

Included in this section

  • Payment by HelloAsso, card (Stripe Connect), bank transfer or on site
  • Individual payment for each player (split team payment)
  • Waiting list: you offer the place to the applicant of your choice, who sees it held for a set time
  • Multi-event pricing by number of events, added up across a player's entries
  • Early bird fee with a deadline, and a late entry fee for each event
  • Paid extras at entry (meals, T-shirt, parking) with photo, stock and quantity
  • Buying an extra after entering, from the public page, with just an email
  • Individual or shared promo codes (fixed amount or %)
  • Mandatory payment mode: the place is held while the player pays, then released
  • Automatic reminders for abandoned baskets and payment deadlines
  • “Find my entry”: all your links sent again by email, no account needed
  • Online team building (partner search)
  • CSV import of entries: bring in a list kept in a spreadsheet, with a preview before applying
  • Withdrawals: team withdrawn, walkovers carried through the draw, refund triggered by the organiser
  • Manual entry of on-site payments (cash, cheques, transfers)
  • Entry and payment confirmations sent automatically by email

02 · Draws and formats

8 formats, a draw generated for you

Pools, round robin, single elimination (with or without a consolation draw), double elimination, Swiss, Americano, Compass Draw and up and down the river. You choose the format and its settings, PickleDeck generates the draw: seeds, byes, multiple events.

Classic FFT format: pools + single elimination

Dedicated page

See the illustrated formats

Included in this section

  • Seeds based on the FFT ranking or on DUPR, depending on the tournament setting
  • Players from the same club kept apart in the first round of the draw, with manual adjustment position by position
  • Byes handled for odd numbers, given out by ranking tier
  • No rematches: avoids pairing the same opponents again, can be switched off in strict FFT mode
  • Calculated draw placement, with a record of every decision
  • Pools of unequal sizes (3 and 4) validated according to the rules
  • Full placement in double elimination: every place is played, not just the podium
  • Several events in parallel (men, women, mixed, levels)
  • Automatic qualification from pools → final draw
  • Regenerating a stage, and manual adjustment position by position

03 · Scoring and refereeing

Live scores, from every channel

Each match can be scored by the players, volunteers or a referee. A QR link per court, offline mode with sync, server tracking point by point.

Offline score entry: works in a sports hall with no wifi

Dedicated page

05 · Schedule and tournament day

Plan how the tournament will run

An “Estimated duration” card works out the finishing time of each day from your events, pools, draws, courts, rotations and breaks, and compares it with your closing time. You can change the assumptions on the spot, without saving anything.

Estimated duration: you know when you'll close before you open entries

Included in this section

  • Automatic schedule generation: dependencies between rounds, player rest, courts and breaks
  • Multi-day schedules: open days, events assigned per day, pools one day and draws the next
  • Feasibility check before generating: playing hours needed against capacity, recommended number of courts
  • Draft schedule: move things, compare, nothing is written until you save
  • Schedule summary: finishing time per day, a team's longest wait, idle courts
  • Several halls per tournament, each with its own court prefix and address
  • Times given in the tournament's time zone, including outside mainland France
  • A log of schedule changes: who moved which match, when and from which slot
  • Estimated finishing time per day and per venue, based on expected teams and courts
  • Match duration worked out from the scoring format, and editable
  • Assumptions you can change on the spot (expected teams, match duration): nothing is saved
  • The source shown for every figure in the calculation
  • Emergency mode: court unavailable or delay, the rest of the schedule is recalculated and players are told, and it can be undone

06 · Autopilot

The tournament moves on without anyone watching

Dozens of scheduled tasks watch over the tournament and alert the right people. No screen needs to stay open for scores to be confirmed, places to be freed and players to be called to court.

While you referee, the platform keeps watch and sends alerts

Included in this section

  • The real queue on each court: “your turn in 2 matches”, “your turn in 1 match”, “it's your turn”

  • Schedule delay alert sent to the players concerned, in the tournament's local time
  • Self-declared scores confirmed automatically when the time runs out
  • Ready matches started automatically, with an on/off switch
  • Tournament stage changes with consistency checks: what blocks and what warns, kept separate
  • Reminders for abandoned baskets and payment deadlines, expiry of held places
  • Waiting list promotion and reminders to partners who haven't replied

07 · Organising team

Volunteers, co-organisers and referees

Three tiered access levels to structure your team: owner (level 3), co-organisers (level 2) and referees (level 1). Plus volunteer access links with a 4-digit PIN, no account needed.

No volunteer needs to create an account

  • A link and a PIN per court, generated in one go, with a QR code to print
  • Links that can be limited to certain events, with an expiry date of your choice
  • PIN protected against brute force: attempts counted, link locked for a while
  • A welcome email for each volunteer explaining what to do, adapted to their role
  • Immediate deactivation and revocation of a link or a staff member
  • Audit trail of volunteer actions (scores, check-ins) timestamped in the tournament events
  • Multi-volunteer mode: several people score at the same time
