PickleDeck's commitment
When you enter a tournament, PickleDeck asks you for 3 separate consents instead of a single overall consent:
Case no. 1
PickleDeck publication
Photos shown on the tournament page and your player profile
Case no. 2
Club social media
Posting on the organiser's Instagram, Facebook, etc.
Case no. 3
Press / external communication
Articles, press materials, institutional partners
You can accept, refuse or tick only some of the boxes. Any consent left unticked counts as an explicit refusal.
Withdrawing consent
In accordance with Article 7.3 of the GDPR, you can withdraw your consent at any time, without having to give a reason. Withdrawal is done from your player area, in Settings > Image rights.
Effective withdrawal period: 15 working days
From receipt of your request, PickleDeck removes images identifying you from the designated media within 15 working days. The organiser is notified automatically.
Exception: for third-party media already printed (paper posters on display, press articles already published), effective removal is not guaranteed. PickleDeck will contact the organiser and the media concerned but cannot guarantee their removal.
Minors
In accordance with the law of 19 February 2024 and Article 45 of the Informatique & Libertés Act (15-year threshold in France):
Minors < 15
Dual consent required: name and signature of the legal representative + explicit attestation of parental authority.
Minors aged 15-17
The minor's consent is sufficient (consistent with Art. 45 IL). Informing the legal representative is still recommended.
“My images” view in your player area
From your player area, you can view at any time all the tournament photos identifying you and request the deletion of a specific image (and not only the overall withdrawal of consent).
For organisers
The law of 19 February 2024 requires a mandatory notice when photos are taken. PickleDeck provides a ready-to-print PDF sign to display at the tournament venue.
“Photographed tournament” sign
Downloadable from the tournament's administration area, in the Image rights section. A4 format, to be displayed visibly at the entrance to the site.
Consent register
All consents are timestamped, versioned (legal text accepted at a given time) and exportable by the organiser from their administration area. This traceability provides legal proof in the event of a dispute.
